Yala peak at elevation of 5732 meters is graded as easier trekking peaks suitable for novice trekkers and could be summited with average level fitness.
Peak situated on Langtang region proximity to Tibet offers astounding vision of Himalayas including Manaslu, Langtang lirung, Dorje lakpa, Naya Kang, Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, Gangchempo from top of peak.


Yala peak climbing could be combined with Langtang valley trekking conferring chance for climbers to blend with local inhabitants of Langtang region experiencing typical and rich Tamang culture along thrilling sensation of peak summiting. The peak could be summited during month of March, April, May, June, September, October and November.

Itinerary Overview

Arrival at Kathmandu
You will be warmly welcomed by our representative at Tribhuwan International Airport and transferred to hotel by private vehicle.
Kathmandu to Dhunche
The journey to Yala peak climbing moves ahead on eight hours drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche through hilly winding road with majestic glimpse of rivers, forest and many more.
Dhunche to Syabru Gaon
Trek for Yala peak begins from Dhunche passing through forests and terraced hill slopes up to Syabru. Then, we trek down to ridgeline separating Langtang khola from Trisuli river and move ahead to reach at your campsite for overnight stay.
Syabru Gaon to Lama hotel
We trek along downhill trail that passes Ghopche Khola till we reach landslide. Then we climb slightly uphill through Bamboo encountering red pandas, monkey, bear to find ourselves at Lama hotel for overnight stay.
Lama hotel to Langtang valley via Ghore Tabela
We leave Lama Hotel and head toward Langtang village via Ghore Tabela passing green meadows utilized to graze Yak and livestock of local people. We explore graceful monastery on way to Langtang valley.
Langtang valley to Kyanjing
We move from Langtang through ascending trail that runs midst of small villages, yak pastures crossing several small streams and moraines until we reach Kyanjing to enjoy panoramic views of Kyanjing Ri, Tsergo Ri, Ganja la, Langshi Sa- Ri, Dorji Lhakpa and many more.
Rest at Kyanjing
Rest at Kyanjing to explore beauty of serene monastery, antique cheese factory, tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung.
Kyangjin Gompa to Yak Kharka
We leave Kyangjin trekking on flat trail till Marku then pass Langtang khola to trek upward enjoying breathtaking vision of Ganchenpo, Naya Kang to arrive at Yak Kharka.
Yak Kharka to Yala Base Camp
We access to Yala base camp trekking on rocky glacier trail with eye appealing glimpse of Ganchepo, Naya Kang, Tserko ri, Langtang lirung and many more.
Yala Base Camp to Yala peak and descend to Yak Kharka
We summit Yala peak and stay at peak for short span to perceive captivating vision of several snowy mountains including Shishapangma; fourteenth highest peak in the world that lies in Tibet, Dorje lakpa, Ganchenpo, Tserko ri, Langtang lirung then descend to Yak Kharka for overnight stay.
Yak Kharka to Kyangjin
We trek along downhill trail up to Kyangjing consuming almost four hours.
Kyanjing to Lama hotel
We trek back from Kyanjing to Lama hotel that takes six hours recapturing all those fabulous mountain view on the way.
Lama hotel to Syabrubesi
We trek from Lama hotel to Syabrubesi that consumes about six hours.
Syabrubesi to Kathmandu return drive
Return to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi on nine hours’ drive through gravel and bumpy road.
Return Flight
We drive you to airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

  • Camping charges
  • Insurance, medical assistance and equipment for the trekking staffs
  • Domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu. The flight charge from Kathmandu to Lukla and back from Lukla to Kathmadnu is US$ 190 per person for foreigner (for a round trip) and US$ 70 per Nepali staff (for a round trip)

  • Climbing permit fee:

US$ 350 for the group up to 4 people

US$ 350 + US$ 40 for the group of 1 to 5 people in a group

Apart from the climbing fee you have to pay US $ 300 as Sirdar's climbing and equipment fees. This is as per the rule of NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association).

  • Deposit for Garbage Disposal fee is US$ 250 per peak for the group (this deposit is refundable to you after the completion of climb)

 

             

Accommodation: You would be accommodated at Nagarjun home stay with services of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay whereas offered to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during trek and you would be offered accommodation on along with sleeping bag and foam mattress during expedition.


Meal: You would be offered breakfast, nepali meal at homestay during time at Kathmandu while on trekking you would be provided Nepalese meals three times a day whereas during climbing fresh, hygienic food in terms of water and cooking method would be provided.
