Helambu trek is cultural trek rather than mountainous trek as Helambu region is habitat for Hyolmo Sherpa community popular for rustic and authentic lifestyle ingrained to Tibetan Buddhism which they have carried out from their forefathers who shifted from Tibet China to Nepal. Helambu region located north of Kathmandu valley is easily accessible trekking destination from Kathmandu, which trekking starting point Sundarijal could be accessed on two hours’ bus drive.
Helambu cultural trek begins from popular destination Sundarijal and leads you to elevation ranging from 2600 feet to 12,000 feet from sealevel passing through several villages like Kutumsang, Melamchigaon, Shermangthang which are also culturally and religiously enhanced villages crafted with stupas, mani stones, prayer flags and carved wooden windows and walls, and green terraced hillsides, lush forests perceiving glimpses of hospitality and lifestyle through people apparel, foods and live cultural dances to make trek short and pleasant.
Apart from cultural immersion Helambu cultural trek but also endows moment to relish on spectacular vision of towering snowy peaks like Annapurna, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lhakpa along with tranquil atmosphere of this famed region which is bonus of this trekking destination.
Day One: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day Two: One-hour drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal then uphill walk to Chisopani.
Day Three: Trek from Talamarang consuming about five hours.
Day Four: Move to Timbu trekking along classic and easier trail for five hours.
Day Five: Trek from Timbu to Tarkeghyangsynonymed as Helambu.
Day Six: Five hours’ trek along comfortable trail that runs through beautiful forests to reach Shermathang.
Day Seven: Trek from Shermathang to Melamchipul bazaar.
Day Eight: Return to Kathmandu on four hours’ drive from Melamchipul bazaar.
Day Nine: We drive you to airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
You will be warmly welcomed by our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport. Then you will be transferred to hotel by private vehicle.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Sundarijal drive and Trek to Chisopani
After one-hour drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, trek begins following the trekking route of Chisopani that passes through Shivpuri National Park enchanting on beauty of diverse flora and fauna crossing Mulkharka; village of Tamang inhabitants.
Day 03: Chisopani to Talamarang through PatiBhanjyang
The trek from Chisopani to Talamarang wonderful sensation walking along the downhill trail that runs through villages, terraces to PatiBhanjyang and ascend the trail that leads to Talamarang leaving PatiBhanjyang.
Day 04: Talamarang to Timbu crossing Chanaute, Mahankal
Enjoy the trek from Talamarang to Timbu that takes five hours moving over classic trail through numerous villages Chanaute, Mahankal and many more with entertaining vision of country people engaging themselves in rice plant harvesting task.
Day 05: Timbu to Tarkeghyang
The trek proceeds from Timbu ascending the trail crossing small hydropower project, human settlements, terraces and forest to reach Tarkeghyang; named as Helambu after Helmu caste to visit numerous classic monasteries.
Day 06: Tarkeghyang to Shermathang
Grab the moment to explore Sherpa culture, religion on trek from Tarkeghyang over the easier trail via flatland with beautiful forests crossing small streams to reach Shermathang, to perceive scenic beauty of JugalHimal.
Day 07: Shermathang to Melamchipul Bazaar
Move along the gently descending trail from Shermangthang through meadows and harvested fields to access to Melamchi bazaar, inhabitation of ethnic Sherpa community.
Day 08: Melamchipul Bazaar to Kathmandu drive
Return to Kathmandu from Melamchipul Bazaar that takes four and half hours.
Day 09: Return Flight
We drive you at airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

Accommodation: You would be accommodated at Nagarjun homestay with facilities of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay. And offered to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during trek.
Meal: You would be offered breakfast, Nepali meal at homestay during time at Kathmandu while on trekking you would be provided Nepalese meals three times a day during trek.
