Everest Gokyo trek
Gokyo Everest trek takes you to the triangular shaped Gokyo lakes following the popular trail of Everest base camp trek. So Gokyo trek is an additional trip to Gokyo lakes during the popular Everest Base camp trek. The Everest Gokyo trek grants a chance to enjoy magical visions of sparkling snowy peaks including majestic Everes,t along the shimmering beauty of a string of eye-catching glaciated lakes located at the altitude of 5000 meters. Apart from reflections from all of the surrounding eight thousand meter peaks on the bluish water of the lakes, there are amazing scenes of floating clouds below the snow covered peaks. Sagarmatha national park, listed in UNESCO world heritage sites, with its lush flora and fauna, is as bonus during the Gokyo Everest trek.
Stark your trek on Gokyo Everest trek from Lukla, after a spectacular and scary flight to the Lukla airstrip from Kathmandu following the trail along the Dudh Koshi river to reach Namche; taken as gateway to Everest and a popular spot for acclimatization during the trek. Then, following a gradually ascending trail from Namche that runs towards north from the crowded Everest base camp trek, you wander for several days through the culturally elegant villages of Dole and Machermo. Along the trail you are captivated by the sights of birch and rhododendron forests. To trail ends on glacial lakes with the backdrop of rapturous snowy peaks. Then you ascend Gokyo ri for magnificent views of Mount Everest, which offers better viewpoints of Everest than from Kalapatthar; a popular Everest Kalapatthar trek. Finally, traverse chola pass to return the main Everest base camp trail to announce the successful completion of the memorable Gokyo Everest trek.
Day One: Arrive in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
Day Two: Hair–raising flight to Lukla airstrip to begin three hours’ trek to Phakding from Lukla.
Day Three: Access Namche trekking for five hours from Phakding.
Day Four: Rest day at Namche for acclimatization
Day Five: Trek from Namche passing through Khumjung, Sanasa, Mongla villages to reach Dole taking about six hours.
Day Six: Trek from Dole to Machhermo that takes about five hours.
Day Seven: Indulge on serene environment on trek from Machhermo to Gokyo taking four and half hours.
Day Eight: Rest day at Gokyo for acclimatization.
Day Nine: Short hike to Gokyo Ri climbing uphill and retrace same route to return Gokyo and continue journey to Machhermo for overnight stay that takes about four and half hours.
Day Ten: Trek from Machhermo (4150m.) to Namche Bazaar (3440m.) which takes about five hours.
Day Eleven: Journey to Lukla from Namche passing Monjo that takes six hours.
Day Twelve: Return flight to Kathmandu from Lukla.
Day Thirteen: We drive you to airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
You will be warmly welcomed by our representative on Tribhuvan International Airport and transferred to hotel by private vehicle.
Day 02: Hair–raising flight to Lukla airstrip to begin three hours’ trek to Phakding from Lukla.
After hair-raising flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip, the trek begins heading to north from Lukla village trekking along the bank of Dudh Koshi river on gradually sloppy trail passing through Ghat villages to reach Phakding; beautiful village encircled by snowcapped peaks and settled by culturally graceful Sherpa people.
Day 03: Access Namche trekking for five hours from Phakding.
We cross Dudh Koshi river and walk on easy path for short duration up to Monjo and Jorsale then climb steep uphill catching first glimpse of Everest to arrive at Namche Bazaar. We can explore several village monasteries spreading message of love and peace through their fluttering prayer flags and in scripted stone walls on our way to Namche from Phakding.
Day 04: Rest day at Namche for acclimatization
Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. It is recommended to have short day hike to Thame, Khumjung or Khunde for acclimatization.
Day 05: Trek from Namche passing through Khumjung, Sanasa, Mongla villages to reach Dole taking about six hours.
We proceed our journey moving on elevated path up to Khumjung then we follow ascending trail from Khumjung to reach at Khumbila at the height of 5734 meters. Then our journey leads to Dole for overnight stay wandering on downhill trace
Day 06: Trek from Dole to Machhermo that takes about five hours.
We reach Machhermo leaving Dole climbing steadily upward path consuming about five hours.
Day 07: Indulge on serene environment on trek from Machhermo to Gokyo taking four and half hours.
We pass through Gokyo valley between Chola pass and Renjala pass trekking along bank of Gokyo lake to arrive at Gokyo for overnight stay. We have magnificent scenery of Chooyu, Gyachung kang mountains on our way to Gokyo.
Day 08: Rest day at Gokyo for acclimatization.

Day 09: Short hike to Gokyo Ri climbing uphill and retrace same route to return Gokyo and continue journey to Machhermo for overnight stay that takes about four and half hours.
Early in the morning with short hike to Gokyo ri for magical vision of sunrise on top four different mountains, we down trek to Gokyo village to have lunch and after having lunch move to Machhermo village for overnight stay.
Day 10: Trek from Machhermo (4150m.) to Namche Bazaar (3440m.) which takes about five hours.
We continue our trek on downhill path leaving Machhermo till we reach Phortsetenga then we arrive Manglo to have tea following same path. Finally, we walk gradually down to reach Namche for overnight stay.
Day 11: Journey to Lukla from Namche passing Monjo that takes six hours.
We have pleasant trek to Lukla from Namche bazaar via Monjo consuming about six hours.
Day 12: Return flight to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Day 13: We drive you to airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

To enjoy your trip more you need to be comfort and breathability all day long, for that you need to put emphasis on equipment’s that are necessary. The following list includes items that are necessary which can also be hired.
- Backpack: During your trip you need to be careful to make the weight of your clothing equipment down to minimum. Your packed trek bag, should weigh no more than 15 kilograms (33 pounds.)
- Sleeping Bag: Sleeping bag rated to at least 15-degrees Fahrenheit (Optional/ Sleeping bag is provided by us if necessary)

While packing your clothes, you need to be careful to not to pack heavy clothes. It’s rather good to go on layers than in bulky clothes.

Accommodation: You would be accommodated at Nagarjun homestay with facilities of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay. And offered to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during trek.
Meal: You would be offered breakfast, Nepali meal at homestay during time at Kathmandu while on trekking you would be provided Nepalese meals three times a day during trek.
