The trek following gorge of Marsyandi river passing numerous tiny streams, water falls, beautiful villages then crossing highest pass Thorong la at elevation of 5416 meters touching the edge of Tibetan plateau with spectacular vision of snow spilling mountain peaks such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri,Manaslu makes trek heart touching. Apart from exploring plethora of bio-diversity and cultural diversity on trek, have chance to visit serene, pious Muktinath temple; hub of Hindu and Buddhist religion on backdrop of mountains.

Itinerary Overview

Day One: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day Two: About seven hours drive from Kathmandu we reach Besishahar.
Day Three: Enthrall on enchanting sceneries blending with local culture on six hours’ trek from Besishahar to Ngadi.  
Day Four: We trek from Ngadi to reach Jagat consuming approximately six hours.
Day Five: We enjoy magnificent waterfall, grassy river bank on our six hours’ trek from Jagat to Dharapani.
Day Six: We proceed our journey to Chame from Dharapani that takes four hours.
Day Seven: Trek from Chame to Pisang consuming about about five hours.
Day Eight: Trek from Pisang to Manang that takes about five hours.
Day Nine: Rest day at Manang
Day Ten: We climb uphill on our three and half-hours’ trek from Manang to Yak Kharka.
Day Eleven: We head to ThorongPhedi leaving Yak Kharka on three and half-hours’ trek.
Day Twelve: We ascend world highest Thorong la pass to meet our next destination Muktinath that consumes almost eight hours.
Day Thirteen: We pass through culturally and naturally adorned villages Jharkot, Khinsar and Marpha on our five hours’ trek from Muktinath to Jomsom.
Day Fourteen: Trek from Jomsom to Ghasa that takes about seven hours.
Day Fifteen: Trek from Ghasa to Tatopani that takes about five hours.
Day Sixteen: We head to Galeshwar leaving Tatopani walking on flat trail crossing Bekhola, Baiseri then drive to Pokhara from Galeshwar taking three and half hours.
Day Seventeen: Return to Kathmandu from Pokhara on seven hours’ drive.  
Day Eighteen: We drive you to airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

You will be warmly welcomed by our representative at Tribhuwan International Airport and transferred to hotel by private vehicle.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Besishahar drive

Drive from Kathmandu along Prithvi Highway passing Dumre to reach Besisahar taking seven hours.

Day 03: Besishahar to Ngadi

The trek begins from Besisahar passing through flat level trail enchanting on green sceneries that runs on coast of Marsyandi river. We can purify our eye with glimpse of luscious green sceneries, rice terrace fields on our way to Ngadi.

Day 04: Ngadi to Jagat crossing LaliGaon

We climb uphill from Ngadi and cross stream for upward trek that leads to LaliGaon. Then, we ascend steep uphill and descend down on narrow and rocky path with a thundering river below to arrive at Jagat for overnight stay. We encountered numerous animals like monkeys, mules, cows as well as diverse bird species on our way to Jagat.

Day 05: Jagat to Dharapani through Chamje

We move ahead on sloppy trail to Marsyandi river and climb uphill via forests to Chamje. Then, we reach village Tal crossing river initially and cross suspension bridge over Marsyandi river to arrive at Dharapani for overnight stay.

Day 06: Dharapani to Chame passing Dhanakyu, Kotho

We follow path that leads to westward direction up to Manang valley indulging on magnetic vision Annapurna second and Annapurna four. Initially, we walk upward passing through several forests and crossing Dhanakyu, Lattemarang village till we reach Kotho. Then, we follow easy path for half hour to arrive Chame for overnight stay.

Day 07: Chame to Pisang through Bratang; military station

At continue our journey climbing uphill passing through apple orchard, fir, pine forest then we follow the path to Bratang; military station for troops in past. We walk along the trail that runs via steep and narrow valley to find ourselves on large and beautiful village Pisang.

Day 08: Pisang to Manang through Upper Pisang

We move from Pisang to Manang passing through Upper Pisang crossing Geru with breathtaking vision of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang peak as well as giving sensational experience of standing horizontally front of stunning snow peaks bathed in golden sunlight. We have chance to explore Barge monastery; biggest monastery in Manang district.

Day 09: Rest at Manang

Rest at Manang for acclimatization before crossing Thorong la.

Day 10: Manang to Yak Kharka via Gunsang

We climb gradually uphill through the village Gunsang then we move ahead through green meadows and cross wooden bridge over small river to reach Yak Kharka enchanting on panoramic views of mountains.

Day 11: Yak Kharka to ThorongPhedi passing Ledtar

We leave Yak Kharka climbing uphill at beginning to arrive at village Letdar and trek down to Marsyandi crossing wooden bridge. We reach ThorongPhedi for overnight stay trekking on vertically zigzag path from Marsyandi.

Day 12: ThorongPhedi to Muktinath passing Thorong la Pass

We move from ThorongPhedi at early morning climbing steep uphill trail immersing on magical vision of glistening snow peaks due to sunlight and tempting view of Kali Gandaki river below till we reach Chorten. Then, we trek down from Thorong la; highest passes in the world from east to west, easiest and safest direction to arrive at Muktinath for overnight stay.

Day 13: Muktinath to Jomsom through Jharkot, Khingsar

After relinquishing visit of Muktinath, we continue our journey to kali Gandaki on downhill trail and pass through Jharkot, Khinsar village following wide and flat path from Kali Gandaki that leads to Jomsom situated on bank of Kali Gandaki river.

Day 14: Jomsom to Ghasa crossing Kalopani

We head to Ghasa with eye pleasing glimpse of RukseJharana(Waterfall) on steeply downhill path via pine, rhododendron forests crossing Kalopani. Ghasa; beautiful village on backdrop of mountain popular for birdwatching and wild marijuana.

Day 15: Ghasa to Tatopani

We trek on steeply downhill path up to RukseJharana leaving Ghasa. Then, we climb slightly upward along the path that runs midst of various human settlements to reach Tatopani; place to enjoy natural hot bath on natural springs on bank of Kali Gandaki river.

Day 16: Tatopani to Galeshwor and Return drive to Pokhara

We proceed our journey from Tatopani following flat trail along Kali Gandaki river. We pass through Bekhola, Baiseri villages to conclude our trek on Galeshwor and return to Pokhara on three and half hours’ drive from Kathmandu.

Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Return to Kathmandu from Pokhara by tourist vehicle peeping beauty of green sceneries and rice terrace fields.

Day 18: Return Flight

We drive you to airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

To enjoy your trip more you need to be comfort and breathability all day long, for that you need to put emphasis on equipment’s that are necessary. The following list includes items that are necessary which can also be hired.

  • Backpack: During your trip you need to be careful to make the weight of your clothing equipment down to minimum. Your packed trek bag, should weigh no more than 15 kilograms (33 pounds.)
  • Sleeping Bag: Sleeping bag rated to at least 15-degrees Fahrenheit (Optional/ Sleeping bag is provided by us if necessary)

While packing your clothes, you need to be careful to not to pack heavy clothes. It’s rather good to go on layers than in bulky clothes.

Accommodation: You would be accommodated at Nagarjun homestay with facilities of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay. And offered to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during trek.

Meal: You would be offered breakfast, Nepali meal at homestay during time at Kathmandu while on trekking you would be provided Nepalese meals three times a day during trek.
